The first season set up a war. The second teased it. Now, in its third season, House of the Dragon unleashes it. Monarchs play politics, armies march to battle, and dragons rain destruction upon the insignificant smallfolk caught in the middle.
While A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms offers a beautiful, quiet, and introspective look at Westeros, House of the Dragon shows the other side of the coin: what happens when lords and ladies play their games, and ordinary people are left to suffer the consequences.
I have high hopes for this season and I am fairly certain that HBO can deliver.
