Guide to the Game of Thrones-Hall of Faces at San Diego Comic-Con 2016

Fans of Game of Thrones are in for a real treat during San Diego Comic-Con as HBO has created an offsite event for them to experience both Hall of Faces and to enter the House of Black & White. Fans will enjoy this for they are No One.

We where among the lucky few who got to explore the offsite event before it officially opens to the general public from Thursday 21st July 2016.

Upon entering we where greeted by the swag that they where giving away, which included hats, poster and of course Funko Pops which included Jon Snow, Night King and Drogon the Dragon.

You are then led through a wall of art on your way to the Hall of Faces where you will have your portrait taken and a custom app will render your Hall of Faces portrait and display the image onto one of the towers within the space using digital displays and experiential effects. You can print your portrait on site as well as share the photo to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. After adding your likeness to the Hall of Faces, you can peer into Melisandre’s Flames which features OC Dream hologram technology.

Of course the one thing every Game of Thrones fan wants to do is sit on the Iron Throne, after which you can pose with Arya’s sword “Needle” and see costumes from Arya, Jaqen H’ghar and the Waif. The first 500 attendees each day will receive a free Funko Pop! Figure and a “Beautiful Death” poster created exclusively for Comic Con by artist Robert Ball. If you want to experience this Game of Thrones offsite event then make sure you queue up early to guarantee entry as once capacity is reached for the day, you will have to try again the next day. Be prepared to start queuing really early in the morning if you want to be one of the lucky first 500 attendees each day to receive a free Funko Pop! Figure.
