Vengeance Of Vampirella Volume One: Rebirth

The opening of this book just sets it up perfectly:

Once upon a time there lived a very special person, a child of darkness but also a champion of the light. Her name was Vampirella and she had come to save us from the evil that sought to darken the world…

What a way to kick off your story. You just know this is going to be one epic tale. If you have been following us for the past few weeks you will have seen reviews for the last few issues of The Vengeance of Vampirella. Well, my friends if those had enticed you and you wanted more then you are in luck because what I have for you is Volume 1 of this series. Bringing together the first 6 issues of the series, this blood-soaked romp is not one you want to miss.

And if you are looking a bit more info the book describes itself in this way:

Originally debuting in 1994, Vengence of Vampirella portrayed a more savage and feral look at the Daughter of Drakulon. Now, for the 50th Anniversary of Vampirella, original series writer Tom Sneisgoski (joined by the incredible art of Michael Sta. Maria) is back. Set 25 years after the initial series Vampirella is Dead!? Long Live Vampirella!

Humanity holds on, but barely, the playthings and slaves of a multitude of supernatural monstrosities that made the earth their own. Mistress Nyx continues to rule the planet, her Chaos Lords reigning over the various regions of the world, but she is getting bored. There’s no one to challenge her!

That is until a small, but determined rebellion finds what could be there savior or deal their doom

What that means for us is that we get to see a rag tag group of survivors and outcasts come together under the leadership of one of the mediums most desirable women kicking the ever-loving crap out of some demons. And in the end who does not want to see that?

This is an end of the world tale that may seem very generic but trust me it’s not, it’s dark and brooding, yet also incredibly fun. With some serious 1990’s vibes and a lot of gorgeous art, this has to be one of Dynamites best series and one I am all to please to promote.
