The Lost Boys #1 Comic Book Review

One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach; all the damn vampires!

Sorry I had to start this review off right and that was the only way to do it. This was  a major surprise to me I mean I had no idea that Vertigo where even going near Lost Boys and they truly have raised the stakes in this tongue and cheek horror classic. Of course this is not the first Lost Boys comic, there was the short lived series that chronicled the adventures of the Frog Brothers that led onto the second and third films in the franchise. For the uninformed The Lost Boys is an 80’s classic where a vampire David, Kiefer Sutherland, is backed by his crew of undead misfits who go up against a couple of nerdy kids in an over the top 80’s battle to the death, BTW this is me over simplifying it.

The series picks up shortly after where the first film finished. Everyone is trying to pick up the pieces of their lives or try to build something new from them, with the Frog Brothers throwing themselves into their training and our star crossed lovers from the initial film trying to have a normal life. It was an interesting choice for Vertigo to pick up but in my opinion they will do this series justice. So of you liked the original film but wanted to know what happened straight after that then this is the comic book series for you.

And if that’s not enough sit back and enjoy some tuneage.
