Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #4 Comic Book Review

Looking at the cover I can hear the music already rushing in my head with the guitar riff and the drums, it’s time for the next Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book in the series.

Warning: There may be possible spoilers ahead.

Picking up where the last issue left off the Dragonzord is rampaging through Angel Grove and the Power Rangers need to stop it. This issue brings back some of the original bits that where so iconic to the series, for instance the classic – ‘Its Morphin time!’ and of course the Megazord.

The series even elaborates on a few other notes I have made with earlier reviews such as seeing the smaller zords fighting. I always hated the fact that the Power Rangers would summon their zords and immediately form the Megazord, it always just seemed so redundant but here we see them in action and it’s pretty badass. Not only do we see the Zords fight but we get a giant shark Kaiju which just looks terrifying.

If morphing and monsters aren’t your thing then I would say the dynamic between our heroes would be the best draw. Here you have a pretty tight knit team being forced with a new member who they don’t all completely trust. Tempers are high and people are a little freaked out, the Power Rangers are on the edge and we as the fans cant wait to see what happens next. Once again the creators of this book have captured everything great about the original series and elaborated on it further bringing Power Rangers to life in a way that truly does the source material justice.
