I grew up from the late 80’s to the 90’s and this was the prime time of the kids game show. These shows where totally awesome, at least to young me. You and your best mates would have to go through obstacle courses, solve riddles and work together to get to the end. Of course now that I am an adult I know I can just go on Crystal Maze (if it is still on TV) still everything pales when compared to Disney’s latest show because well It is Star Wars themed game show.

This 10-episode series, hosted by Jar Jar Binks himself – Ahmed Best and his driod companion AD-3. In another nice nod to the greater cannon Sam Witwer will voicing the dark side of the Force, that name sounds familiar it’s because he is the current voice of Darth Maul. Jedi Temple Challenge  will be doing the unusual choice of coming out on StarWarsKids.com and the official Star Wars Kids YouTube channel. Though I suspect that it will become available on Disney+ at some point in the future.

Jedi Temple Challenge will see Best guide the youngling’s through many Star Wars themed challenges. There will be a total of three rounds of Jedi trials as the contestants compete to earn the title of Jedi Knight earn their very own the lightsaber. Just watching the trailer there are lots of nods to the franchise such as use of Holocrons and recreations of famous sets.

I really think this is an amazing way to bring kids into the fandom and just a lot of fun.
