The panic set in, I saw it another developer update from Jeff and this one related to Mercy, I could not help but worry… fortunately for once this was a positive update. As of May 8 right the way through to May 21, Blizzard have released this skin for Mercy and they will donate 100% of the proceeds for your purchase of the Pink Mercy skin to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, on top of a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 USD. Blizzard Entertainment will disclose the total amount of its donation following the end of the campaign. 

This is a wonderful idea and I think far too many of us have been touched by breast cancer in our lives, even if we do not develop it we will all have friends and family who will have had to face this challenge, the fact that Blizzard are doing this is rather heart warming. Not only have they released this skin but they have also released this awesome tee.

If that is not enough Blizzard have also partnered with community artist ONEMEGAWATT to create a series of themed Twitch Drops, including a new player icon and four all-new sprays. Available only during this event, you can earn these special Pink Mercy cosmetics by viewing select streams on Twitch during the two-week promotional period. 

This is a rather lovely idea and yes I just used the word lovely, but it is apt and has helped break me out of my usual nihilistic self. So if you want to support a great charity go check it out.
