Truly sad news to hear that the man, the myth, the legend that was Carl Weathers passed away last night.

Carl is a lesson in knowing that you can always change things up, he originally had dreams of playing in the NFL, but after going undrafted he shifted eventually to the Canadian Football League while studying Drama. This is the path that would land him iconic roles in Rocky and Predator. Of course he did more than action, with one of his best roles as a parody of himself in Arrested Development.

The only comfort we can take is that Carl passed peacefully in his sleep. And that is not the worst way to end a life such as his.

Considered a real gentleman and someone who always brought a certain energy to his roles, Mr Weathers will be missed.
