E3 2020 has officially been cancelled due to fears of coronavirus.
E3 of course is the holy grail of the gaming world. It is a variable whose who of every gaming giant. Companies like Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Sega and Ubisoft generally attend. The Entertainment Software Association, the group behind E3, said that it will look into possibly conducting an online showcase instead of E3 in June.
“After careful consultation with our member companies regarding the health and safety of everyone in our industry–our fans, our employees, our exhibitors and our longtime E3 partners–we have made the difficult decision to cancel E3 2020, scheduled for June 9-11 in Los Angeles,” the ESA said in a statement.”
Frankly this sucks, but it is understandable and I have a lot of respect to the people behind E3 for doing what needs to be done.
