This show looks F**king insane and there are no other words for it. Based on the best selling book by Garth Ennis The Boys is set in a world where superheroes are the norm, not only that but many of them are utterly vile and corrupt. The thing is no one ever hears about the atrocities that these so called heroes commit because the powers that be keep sweeping it under the rug?

So how do you keep these “heroes” in line?

In comes Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who in his own words is there to SPANK THE BASTARDS. He leads a covert group of paramilitaries in his endless quest to bring the heroes down. His five person team is compromised of himself, Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), “Wee” Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), The Female of the Species (Karen Fukuhara) and Frenchie (Tomer Kapon).

The latest trailer manages to mix an incredible amount of R-Rated violence with the Spice Girls, so that is a big plus for me. You can see that it deals with a serious topic, which is the obvious of Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? But it does so in a fun yet dark way. 

With so much violence and such a deep topic it is easy to see why an adaptation of The Boys has been in the works for years.
