Total War: Warhammer is a series that does its source material justice, they have done an amazing job bringing the factions to life. With each new release, we get so many new goodies. For the 3rd game in this series, I was excited to see the release of Kislev as a playable faction as at best they were a sub-faction in Warhammer, but with this new release we have a completely unseens faction to play with, ladies and gents may I present to you Grand Cathay.
If you are unfamiliar with them, please do not feel too ashamed, to the best of my knowledge they have a very limited appearance in the original tabletop game. In fact bar a few mentions in books, maps, and The Dogs of War faction, I do not remember ever see their miniatures before.
Grand Catahty is based on mythical China and comes complete with Dragon Rulers, gun powder, terracotta statues, war balloons that look like lanterns, and pretty much everything and anything that you think a magical mystical ancient Chinese army would have.
If ever I needed another reason to play this game, this was it.
