With all that is going on in the world I nearly forgot that Spike Lee had another film due out. But after seeing the trailed for Da 5 Bloods I am more than ready to see this movie. The film is an unusual tale in that it follows our African-American Vietnam Veterans Paul (Delroy Lindo), Otis (Clarke Peters), Eddie (Norm Lewis), and Melvin (Isiah Whitlock, Jr.)  who return to Vietnam. Searching for the remains of their fallen Squad Leader (Chadwick Boseman) and the promise of buried treasure, our heroes, joined by Paul’s concerned son (Jonathan Majors), battle forces of Man and Nature while confronted by the lasting ravages of The Immorality of The Vietnam War.

The film will be an interesting piece in that it is going to tell an often overlooked part of American History, the participation of African American’s within the nations wars. Of course there is going to be a heavy mix of social commentary and as we can from the trailer tonnes of style, so yes I am 100% down for this movie.
