Onward Looks To Be Another Emotional Roller Coaster

I think everyone I know loves Pixar – even if SNL denies it Pixar make the best animated films. Onward follows two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, as they go on an journey to use what magic is left in the world to let them spend one last day with their father, who died when they were young.

Of course being a kids film things go wrong in the most hilarious fashion – in the end Ian and Barley only manage to bring the bottom half of their father back which leads to them going on an epic quest to fix him. I was a little unsure about the premises of this film but now that I know what the plot is about I really cannot wait to see it. Pixar are so good at covering the family dynamic especially from a variety of angles it’s perfect for this modern world where families are becoming more and more complicated.
