Ever since 2002 I have become obsessed with everything remotely involving Makoto Shinkai he is an absolute visionary genius. Everyone of his films are stunning, beautiful and emotional. You cannot walk away from anything he has done without feeling something, weather that be heart break or happiness these films will cause it all. Of course many of you will be familiar with him for previous creation Your Name and just like with that Weathering with you looks be a tremendous tale that will be a worth while watch for all.

Weathering with you follows Hodaka Morishima who leaves his home on an isolated island and moves to Tokyo. Like any tale of a young man seeking adventure he ends up broke and isolated. Eventually Hodaka finds work in a paranormal magazine and around that time strange weather phenomenon start happening all over Japan but that all changes when he meets a strong ­willed girl possesses a strange and wonderful ability: the power to stop the rain and clear the sky.

An usual yet beautiful tale of finding oneself that I think we can all relate too…
