Great news everybody, Bryan Cranston has been officially cast as Zordon in the upcoming new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie, due out March 2017. Although this is not actually the first time Bryan Cranston has been involved in a Power Rangers project as he did voiceover work in many season 1 episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Cranston will play Zordon who is responsible for assembling a team of warriors to battle the evil Rita Repulsa (played on the big screen by Elizabeth Banks). In the original series, Zordon was portrayed by David J. Fielding. This is exciting news as I never thought about Bryan Cranston portraying the role of Zordon until now, I can’t wait.
With this casting announcement and the previous announcements including; Elizabeth Banks at Rita Repulsa ,Dacre Montgomery as Jason, the Red Ranger; Ludi Lin as Zack, the Black Ranger; RJ Cyler as Billy, the Blue Ranger; Naomi Scott as Kimberly, the Pink Ranger; and Becky G. as Trini, the Yellow Ranger, this is shaping up to be an exciting movie indeed. I guess it’s time to relive my childhood.
Also I really hope they bring the cast and crew for a panel and show exclusive footage, maybe even a trailer at San Diego Comic-Con International 2016.
