Could American Gods be heading to San Diego Comic-Con International 2016?

Now this is one new TV series that many people are excited about and hoping will make an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con International 2016 next July. It has been fifteen years in the making, since American Gods was first published, but finally we will get to see a live action version of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods.

Writer and creator Neil Gaiman revealed today on his official Twitter account that he got to see the first trailer for Starz new TV series American Gods.

Could it be that they are working on getting a trailer ready to potentially reveal at San Diego Comic-Con International 2016? While Starz hasn’t officially confirmed yet which TV series they intend to bring to San Diego Comic-Con International 2016, they would be foolish not to bring it as it would be the best place to release their official first trailer in front of thousands of fans and to bring their amazing cast for a panel. The cast includes Gillian Anderson (X-Files, The Fall), Emily Browning (Suckerpunch), Ian McShane (Pirates of the Carribean, Game of Thrones), Peter Stormare (Prison Break), Ricky Whittle (The 100), Orlando Jones (Sleepy Hollow) and Crispin Glover (Back To The Future). With such an amazing cast and the fact that Bryan Fuller (Hannibal) is the creator behind the TV series, not to mention that Neil Gaiman himself created this world, it’s all the more reason Starz needs to bring this to Comic-Con 2016 as they all have a huge fanbase.

So what exactly is American Gods about? Warning-Possible spoilers ahead:

Shadow is a man with a past. But now he wants nothing more than to live a quiet life with his wife and stay out of trouble. Until he learns that she’s been killed in a terrible accident. Flying home for the funeral, as a violent storm rocks the plane, he is greeted by a strange man in the seat next to him. The man calls himself Mr. Wednesday, and he knows more about Shadow than is possible. He warns Shadow that a far bigger storm is coming. And from that moment on, nothing will ever be the same.

I really do hope Starz brings the cast and crew of American Gods to San Diego Comic-Con International 2016 and of course show us a trailer and exclusive footage.
