TNT has two new treats to get us through December

I’m not the expert on this type of article but I thought ‘hey I will give this a shot.’ With a lot of other shows going on hiatus, TNT has blessed us with these two new shows that will get us through the quiet moment in the TV schedule.

The Librarians

A group of librarians set off on adventures in an effort to save mysterious AND ancient artifacts. This series is a follow up to the successful series of made for TV movies of the same name.

Star of the original Films Noah Wyle returns to lead a team of Librarians in this ten part series. From what I can see the series has a definite Warehouse 13 and Buffy vibe to it. It does not take itself too seriously and it covers all things paranormal, it definitely looks like one of 2014’s more appealing shows. With an attractive cast doing fantastical things whats more to say?

Wake up Call

What can I say The Rock is a pretty cool guy. I never really realized it before until I watched him in The Hero, he really is the most charismatic sports entertainment star alive, also a seriously underrated actor and a pretty awesome human being. If you don’t believe me check out his Twitter or Facebook. “Wake Up Call” will feature Dwayne Johnson lending a helping hand to everyday people who are facing enormous challenges in their lives. Acting as a host, life coach and an all round living legend, Dwayne Johnson will bring his own brand of motivation to all sorts of groups, from failing businesses, dead beat parents, people with health issues and even sports teams. This series is going to have a lot of highs and lows, it’s going to be an emotional roller coaster, but this will be a nice change of pace to what we have already. I’m not a fan of reality series that humiliates its contestants and degrades them without any positive outcome, this series seems to be one that is designed to have only the positive and that’s the appeal. In a world of depressing and over dramatic this will be a shining beacon.
