It has been a while, but I think I may be excited for a transformer’s movie. If you were to focus on the main series then you would be easily forgiven if you thought that this franchise was dead in the water, but after watching the trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts I am beginning to think that this is one beast that has still got some fight left in it.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is a sequel to Bumblebee and centres around Optimus Prime surviving on Earth in 1994. Currently we don’t know to much else other than it involves a group of archaeologists, the Maximals, Predacons and the Terrorcons. All of which are different groups of animal themed transformers.

Now I know this franchise does get a lot of hate, but my faith has been raised a little and this is down to the fact that both Peter Dinklage and Michelle Yeoh are willing to bring their voices to this project. Then we have Anthony Ramos playing one of the leads and he was one of the original cast in Hamilton – playing both John Laurens and Philip Hamilton. Oh and Of course Ron Perlman will be playing Optimus Primal, so that is pretty cool.

No matter what this will be about giant robots punching each other and at the end of the day that is why we go see these movies, so sign me up.
