When a documentary involves the likes of “Weird Al” Yankovic, Beck, Flea, Jonathan Ross, Patton Oswalt, Scott Aukerman, Jason Schwartzman, Tony Visconti, Mike Myers, Fred Armisen, Neil Gaiman, Earle Mankey, Adam Buxton, Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost to name but a few you just know it is going to be something special.
The Sparks Brothers tells the tale of Sparks, an American pop/ rock duo formed in 1967 by brothers Ron (keyboards) and Russell Mael (vocals). You may not be too famialr with them, but you will know their work and it seems that their influence is all over modern music. This is a truly unusual documentary and it seems that only Edgar Wright could do the band justice.
The film will be theatrically released in North America on June 18, 2021
