It’s that special time of year when all the wonderful freaks and geeks, coming crawling out of the woodwork and take over Londons Excel for a weekend of comics, cosplay, and casually letting ones hair down.

First up there were so many good pannels. And as always, my favourite australian / American duo were brought back to warm up the crowd. Seriously, if you are not really into pannels, I’d say head to the biggest stage before something starts and check these two out.
As for the actual pannels, I managed to get into a few amazing ones.

First up, I went to Spore Productions Pannel on their Final Fantasy VII fan film. It was a really inspiring watch, especially seeing a bunch of creators help birth something created from their passion and love for a franchise.

Our second panel was one I was quietly excited for. This was the cast of Back to the Future The Musical talking about their hit show.

The third big pannel of the day was the cast of Baldurs Gate 3. A pannel that discussed everything from Romance to Rug Burns.
But MCM is more than just pannels, so much more than that. This time round, I had the opportunity to meet the full Oxventure cast. I can confirm they are all really nice people.
Then, on top of that, there were so many internactive activities, like the now famous scaventer hunt, or Miniso’s end of day spin the wheel give away, where I managed to win a £5.00 voucher.

And if that’s not enough, there was a lot of great cosplay.

Day 1 may be over, but I’m confident the weekend has plenty of other treats to come my way.
