Thirty years ago, cinema goers got their first look at the original Crow film. The Crow was the dark and tragic tale of Eric Draven.

In the original film, Eric and his fiancee are rutessley attacked and left for dead. One year later, Eric is resurrected mysteriously by a crow. Once he returns, Eric chooses the path of vengeance and proceeds to brutally murder his way through the cities underworld. And once again, Hollywood has chosen to retell this story.

The Crow was created by writer and artist James O’Barr. It’s a darkly tragic story that has a tragic origin. It was written after the death of O’Barr’s girlfriend. This raw anger and pain was channelled into the creation of one of the greatest comic books ever made.

A tragic book that went on to become one of the most tragic films ever made. Unfortunately, during the making of the film, the lead actor, Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, was shot and killed.

I’m not 100% sold on this new Crow film. The original is so iconic. Can this remake live up to the original?

I’m not entirely happy with the look of the world, and the villain seems very non-threatening. But it’s early daysand I will wait to see when it is released.
