If you are sick of sequels, franchises and remakes this may be the one for you.

The plot for this is as follows:

“When a colony on the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, they dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighbouring planets to help them take a stand.”

Not only is this one created and directed by Zack Snyder but it has an amazing cast. The cast includes Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Ed Skrein, and Anthony Hopkins.

So think Seven Samurai meets Star Wars. Which is kind of awesome because Star Wars A New Hope is pretty much a space western based on old Samurai films. Add in Zack Snyder’s distinctive style and you have something great.

I’ve been waiting for an original Zack Snyder movie ever since Sucker Punch. Personally I think he shines best when he is allowed to create his own worlds, rather than work on others.

Part One of this epic is due out on the 22nd of December.
