SDCC 2023 Recap: National Geographic Party

Every year, fans scramble to sign up for an invite to National Geographic party where they celebrate their shows. Their reputation for throwing an excellent event means that it’s one of the hottest tickets in town, and this year was no different. Alongside Den of Geek, they hosted this year’s party on Saturday night of Comic Con promoting shows like “Running Wild with Bear Grylls: The Challenge”, “Animals Up Close with Bertie Gregory”, “Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold”, and “Never Say Never with Jeff Jenkins”. Bertie Gregory and Jeff Jenkins were in attendance to meet fans.

Like last year, they decided to satisfy guests’ appetites with an open bar featuring themed cocktails and a taco station. They also had an ice cream bar where you could add all types of topping and sauces. The ice cream was the perfect dessert on a sunny San Diego rooftop.

As well as photo opportunities, guests were provided entertainment in the form of a Paint and Sip. Party goers were encouraged to bring their drinks over to a tented area and get creative. Their were guides on how to paint mountain, seals, etc. It was an incredibly unique experience which people seemed to really enjoy.

As usual, their end of party swag was top tier. Attendees had the choice between a bag and a bottle, both of which were very high quality. We got the bag.

As mentioned before, the Nat Geo party is a guaranteed good time. Great food, drinks, entertainment and swag makes it one of the most beloved events at Comic Con. Fingers crossed they continue this trend for 2024.
