I went into this trailer thinking this is going to be the dumbest show ever. But after watching the trailer, I’m getting vibes of Peaky Blinders, Succession, and maybe a little Gangs of New York.

Making a show about the Guiness family may sound daft on paper, but it’s actually a pretty great idea. Look, you don’t get to be one of the worlds most popular drinks, brewed in 50 countries, and sold in over 120, without having a long and complex history. And Guiness, well their history is tied directly into the heart of Ireland.

The series will be about the turbulent family behind the legendary brewing company. Set in the 1800’s shortly after the death of their Patriarch Benjamin Guinness his four children will all compete for his legacy.

The cast is pretty solid, and I like the story as it looks like it will touch on Irelands complex politics as well as the role the Guiness Family played in it.
