New publisher, Ignition Press, has announced that they will be making their debut at San Diego Comic Con this year.

Ignition Press is a creator-first publisher that is looking to make their mark by committing to visual innovation, bold storytelling, and long term creative ownership. Co-founded by an incredible team that includes former IDW Editor-in-Chief Jamie S.Rich, former BOOM! Studios President of Publishing & Marketing Filip Sablik, film producer Eric Gitter, and critically acclaimed comic creator Jeremy Huan, Ignition Press is ensuring that their first Comic Con will be one to remember.

Their introduction to SDCC will centre around the Ignition Press Room – a pop up experience designed to let attendees get to know the new publisher. Located in the Gaslamp Quarter at 643 G Street, the offsite will feature interactive photo ops, exclusive after hours events, signings with top talents, and much more.

Confirmed guests include Jeremy Haun (Murder Podcast: The Cold Open, The Beauty), Cullen Bunn (The Cullenoscopy Podcast, The Sixth Gun, Harrow County), Leah Williams (Voyeur, DC’s Power Girl), Stephanie Williams (Nubia and the Amazons, Street Sharks), Inaki Miranda (We Live, Blade Forger) Mike Tisserand (Murder Podcast: The Cold Open), and David Baldeón (Voyeur, DC’s Power Girl) — as well as more surprise appearances to be announced nearer the time.

For those wanting to take home souvenirs, there will be a curated space which will offer t-shirts, enamel pins, stickers, and of course comic books.

“When we began building Ignition Press nearly one year ago, we knew we wanted to do comics differently,” said Ignition Press Publisher, Filip Sablik. “The Ignition Press Room is the first manifestation of the type of community we are building around our amazing creators and a celebration of everything we love about this amazing medium!”

The Ignition Press Room sounds like it’s gearing up to be one of the most popular offsites at SDCC this year, which will no doubt make for a very successful launch for the publisher.
