Well, this was a welcomed surprise.

I grew up raised by a Catholic mother in the 90s, so you know I was familiar with Sister Act 2, and yo find out on its 30th anniversary that they did a reunion. Well, sign me up.

It was great to see that Lead vocalist Ryan Toby, who played the young Ahmal in the movie, can still reach that vocal range.

Not everyone could be there with both Lauren Hill and Jennifer Love Hewitt both being absent. But Hewitt did appear in a video segment. Where she said working on the movie was “one of the greatest things that ever happened to me.”

“I was very young, a teenager, in fact. I got to work with the queen, Whoopi Goldberg. She was the kindest, coolest person to me ever,” Hewitt added. “I got to hear Lauryn Hill sing every day, just right outside the trailer or right in front of my face. All of you are the best and I’m just sending lots and lots of love. I wish that I could be with you. If you guys need me in No. 3, just call me up!”

Dam, this one does make me feel old. But it is rather heartwarming.
