For all the people boycotting the new little mermaid because she is black, well I have the perfect film for you.

If you are wondering what is going on here. This is unfortunately a new and real film. But it is not the Disney production that we all recognise. No dear readers this is a product of The Asylum.

So what is The Asylum?

The Asylum is an American independent film company and distributor. Only unlike many of the more recognizable studios this one focuses on producing low-budget, direct-to-video mockbusters. These are films with similar names to other major releases around the same time, such as Transmorphers, Age of the Hobbits and The Little Mermaid.

Also for the past decade they have been bringing us many many glorious shark movies including the legendary Sharknado.

Personally this is a film I would rather skip, but it’s there and you can all watch if you want. Just don’t expect a brilliant movie.
