A science fiction legend has left us for the stars and he will be missed. Richard Hatch has sadly passed away due to pancreatic cancer. For those who do not know him among the legions of science fiction fans that adored him he was our original Apollo from Battlestar Galactica and in the re-imagined series he was terrorist turned politician Tom Zarek. Beyond acting he was a writer and a creator, he created his own science fiction worlds and the man tirelessly worked on his own pet projects. Not only was he a hard worker he was someone that was good to his fans and his friends, do a brief search online and you can see this over and over again, even Ronald D Moore, who was the driving force behind the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica attests to this.

RIP Richard Hatch you will be missed, so say we all.
