Twinsters to host World Premiere at the 2015 SXSW Film Festival

It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come with technology, not only has it improved our lifestyles, it has also helped many people reconnect. Imagine finding out you have a twin years later all thanks to social media. Such a thing wouldn’t have been possible only over a decade ago but now long lost relatives have found a way to find each other and reconnect. There are of course many stories out there of families reunited thanks to Facebook and Twitter but one set of twins decided to document their whole journey of finding and finally meeting each other face to face.

Synopsis

On February 21, 2013, Samantha, an American actor living in Los Angeles, received a message via Facebook that would drastically change her life. It was from Anaïs, a French fashion design student living in London. Anaïs’ friends viewed a video on YouTube featuring Samantha. They were immediately blown away by the identical appearance of Samantha & Anaïs. Thanks to a few google searches, Anaïs & her friends discovered that both girls were born on November 19, 1987 and adopted shortly after. Anaïs knew immediately that it was possible for Samantha to be her biological twin sister and reached out to her through Twitter & Facebook. This sparked the beginning of the journey for Samantha and Anaïs.
