In honour of the series revival, King of the Hill brought Hank Hill’s backyard to fans at Comic Con. Designed to feel like a cookout, the offsite was executed perfectly.

There were plenty of photo opportunities where you could pose with the characters or “ride” the family lawnmower.

Attendees were then given a ticket to claim their own King of the Hill hat where they could choose the design and colour and were then made in front of you.

There were more opportunities to gain swag by playing fun lawn games. The first was Alamo Pong where guests would go head to head throwing bean bags into can-shaped containers. The champion would get a King of the Hill koozie and the loser would get a sticker sheet so really everybody won at this offsite.

Next up was Rhinestein’s Cowboy Boot Toss, a ring toss style game, where fans could win a King of the Hill apron.

And if fans got tired out by all the games, they could pick up some Texas BBQ style bites to refuel. Offerings changed, but we were lucky enough to get a delicious breakfast taco. Shoutout to the staff here who were fantastic at dealing with allergies and dietary requirements.

To wash it all down they could stop by the hydration station which offered iced tea, or go and pick up an Alamo water can.

Hulu really got all the details right with this activation, making sure fans felt really immersed in the world of King of the Hill. The sheer amount of swag that they were offering alongside the fun games and food and drink made it a real standout at Comic Con 2025.

We’d visit Hank Hill’s backyard anytime!
