May the Fourth be with you – 8 ways to celebrate Star Wars Day 2025

It’s officially May which means Star Wars Day is just around the corner. May 4th is a day for fans around the world galaxy to celebrate all things Star Wars. Whether you’re a Jedi or a Sith, we’ve put together a list of things you can do to commemorate our favourite nerd holiday.

1. Drink Star Wars coffee Start Star Wars Day off right with a cup of Joe. In conjunction with Disney, Joffrey’s Coffee has 3 different brews for you to choose from with each one representing a different droid. Our personal favorite would be the C-3P0 blend which has notes of vanilla custard and caramel. Get the coffee here.

2. Watch the latest Star Wars release – Following two iconic Star Wars villains through their experience in the galaxy’s criminal underworld, the new Star Wars series, Tales of the Underworld, will premiere on Star Wars Day on Disney+. With 6 episodes, that’s more than enough to keep up Star Wars fans entertained.

3. Read a Star Wars comic (for free) – In a case of perfect timing, Free Comic Book Day is just before Star Wars Day. This year you can pick up Star Wars 1, a canon one-shot comic written by Alex Segura, Charles Soule, and Marc Guggenheim, published by Marvel Comics for free on May 3rd, ready just in time to read for Star Wars Day.

4. Attend a Star Wars event – Star Wars Day is truly a global celebration with most places holding some sort of event to honour the franchise. Whether it be a screening, fan meet up, cosplay competition, or photo op with Star Wars characters, there’s always something fun to do in the community.

5. Build Star Wars Lego – Lego + Star Wars = the perfect combination, and what better day to build than May 4th. Lego clearly agrees and is releasing several new products including a Rebel U-Wing Starfighter, the Kylo Ren Helmet and a set of Revenge of the Sith Heroes & Villains. Our favourite is the Star Wars Logo Build which you can get here.

6. Have a Star Wars snack – The perfect pairing with your Star Wars coffee are these Mando Sandos. These ice cream sandwiches are sure to be the best sweet treat in the galaxy and you can find the recipe here. If this isn’t the droid snack you’re looking for, there’s plenty of other recipes on the website including Yoda pancakes, Ewok Sushi and Blue Milk pudding.

7. Treat yourself to some Star Wars merch at a discount – May 4th is the best day to go on a Star Wars shopping spree as many retailers have deals and discounts on related products. Some of the promotions this years include 30% off Star Wars items from BoxLunch, up to 50% off Her Universe Star Wars clothes, Buy 2 Get 1 Free on Star Wars Funko products and up to 85% off select Star Wars e-books from Penguin Random House. More deals will be released on the day making it the perfect time to splurge.

8. Indulge in some Star Wars arts and crafts – If a Star Wars shopping spree isn’t in your budget, you don’t have to buy something to bring a bit of Star Wars into your home. Instead you can make it. There’s a plethora of different Star Wars project ideas/instructions online and May 4th seems like the perfect day to try them. To get you started, here is an R2-D2 pencil holder that we’ll be making on Star Wars Day.
