Paramount+ made a triumphant return to SDCC with their offsite. Starting from Wednesday and running until Sunday evening, the Lodge welcomed its doors to many excited Comic Con fans.
In celebration of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paramount+ Lodge offered guests a free slice of pizza. Unfortunately, demand seemed to be higher than expected with some options running out. At the bar, attendees could choose from various non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails as well as 2 speciality cocktails “The General” and “The Golden Driller”. We sampled them both (for research purposes, obviously) and while they were both delicious, “The General” was our winner.

As well as being wined and dined, guests were treated to activations from numerous Paramount+ properties. The most popular one by far was the Star Trek booth that allowed attendees to create their own custom t-shirt. Fans had to be quick to score these, as the line was capped quite quickly. Closely following Star Trek in popularity was SpongeBob SquarePants where guests could play a game catching jellyfish. Special SpongeBob sunglasses were given to those who scored high enough.

Our favourite activation was Ghosts themed. Guests could step into Woodstone Manor where they would get to explore various scents that were on display. Each ghost had their own scent matched to them. Our favourite was Thor’s which had a fresh and oaky aroma. At the end, attendees got a free sample.

A fan favourite last year was the Ink Master tattoo parlour. Its popularity meant that it returned bigger and better this year. Guests got to choose from various Paramount property designs to get inked on them.
For Criminal Minds devotees, there was a case to crack with evidence, clues, and photos displayed in a mock office.

Finally, photo ops are always a winner, and Paramount had two. First up, was the IF ferris wheel which was a hit with the Lodge’s younger attendees. Secondly, there was a Dexter Original Sin op that fans could find a secret message in.

Paramount Lodge+ once again proved itself to be a great offsite. An escape from the hustle and bustle of the convention center, it had a brilliant range of activations that made sure every fan was catered for. Here’s hoping for a 2025 return!
