Well if anything was going to spur me into writing again it would have to be this …
The new Inside Out sees our favourite emotions get several new housemates one of which is Anxiety voices by Maya Hawke.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one, the original film set the precedent that everyone had the five overriding emotions of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and disgust. But this new movie will introduce more. Interestingly enough Anxiety was hinted at in the original film.

If you look at Bingbons flower you will notice that his flower represents each of the emotions, except one extra orange petal that some theorize was for an unused emotion.
Sadly some of the original cast have not returned for this new film, Following a dispute over pay, Mindy Kaling and Bill Harder declined to reprise their respective roles as Disgust and Fear. Those roles have been recast with Liza Lapira and Tony Hale respectively.

There is a good part of me that thinks this film is a bad idea and pointless but The film features Pete Docter’s “five to 27 emotions” idea from the first film that director Kelsey Mann pitched during its production to utilize “truthful” worldbuilding. So maybe a little break continuity is totally fine.
