Never Piss Off A K-Pop Fan

Being part of a fandom is like being part of a wonderful intoxicating family. You have this group of people around you that just get who you are and understand the things that love you most. Believe me I know this feeling all too well, on a local politics subreddit I made a very obscure nerdy reference and suddenly I had a tonne of comments and likes in a very specific niche, it was a great feeling. But fandoms do have dark sides to them, look at how Star Wars fans treated Jake Lloyd.

One HMV employee in the UK has found this out the hard way. After they posted this video to the stores Tiktok.

The video was a joke at the expense of fans of the group Super Junior. And Super Juniors fans have been filled with bloodlust.

Speaking as Someone who once got beaten up for dressing in black and listening to my music it truly sucks. But some fans take it way too far.

This is what I discovered after a brief look on social media:

Ok maybe the joke was bad, but once again speaking as someone who was literally assaulted for their music tastes, this is going too far. Purposely review bombing the store, practically demanding the girls head on a platter and insulting her looks. This folks is an overreaction, at the end of the day it’s one Tiktok that hardly anyone saw and as I keep screaming into the void, there are more important things to be upset about.

But sure bully some poor girl into unemployment over a tiktok because your feelings were hurt. Getting this upset screams entitlement and you all should be ashamed of yourselves.
