This film is truly a white whale. So many have tried to make a film about Napoleon and it never pans out. Even Stanley Kubrick famously had a go at it and failed. It was always considered too much. It is probably for this reason why only Ridley Scott has managed to pull such a manoeuvre off.
It seems we are going to see a lot of Napoleon’sons life, from putting down riots in Paris, to his failed invasion of Europe, his wars on continental Europe and even the moment he crowned himself.
My only concerns are they could have tried to make Phoenix look younger and this film may try to cram too much in. Still it looks like an epic watch.
