RIP Coco Lee

For those of us in the West Coco Lee might not have been a household name, but she does hold a special place in the hearts of Disney Fans. Ferren Coco Lee was the Mandarin voice actor for Fan Mulan, in Disney’s Mulan. She was so iconic that they brought her back to sing for the live action version of Mulan, where she beautifully covered Reflection.

Coco Lee also performed on the soundtrack for the spectacular Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Her death came after a suicide attempt left her in a coma. And that’s all I’d rather say about that. She was a wonderfully talented woman who won hearts all over the world and I think that’s how she should be remembered.

Coco was a true triple threat, actress, singer and dancer. Combine that with a beautiful smile and you can see how she went from dominating the Hong Kong entertainment industry to world wide fame.

With a decades spanning Carrer, 18 studio albums (in multiple languages), a few movies under her belt and numerous television appearances it’s easy to see she was truly adored.

She will be missed and from someone who has been to that dark place I wish that she has truly found some peace and hope she knows that we will all miss her.

All I can say is if you are feeling like you are in a dark place, please reach out to someone. Trust me things can get better, the sun will always shine again.
