I’m not the biggest fan of Five Nights At Freddie’s, but that’s because the original game scared the shit out of me. But this adaptation has piqued my interest.

In the original game you play as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurant. Real easy job except the animatronics are trying to kill you. In the game you must utilize tools such as security cameras, lights, doors, and vents to defend themselves against hostile animatronic characters that inhabit the restaurant.

The film takes this concept but it has further developed it. I’m not sure it needed done, because the original concept was just so simple I feel the studio forced them to make this more mainstream. What I mean is, for the ultimate scares just having one guy alone being hunted by the animatronics would be terrifying.

What we now get is a guy protecting a kid, and I feel that may take something away from the original more isolated story.

Still it looks like an interesting film and I will give it a watch.
