I grew up watching Disney classics including Lion King, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Hercules, Mulan etc and I never tired of watching them over and over again, even to this day. When Once Upon a Time premiered five years ago, I was intrigued in how they intended to bring so many classic and modern Disney characters to life. In fact the creators and writers behind Once Upon a Time never shy away from an opportunity to put an easter egg of other Disney owned films including Marvel Comics. Although I do think they have put too much screen time with new characters and not enough with the original cast members. While I did enjoy the Frozen story arc and characters in season 4, I felt with the most recent season its lost its original charm and magic from the first season. I know Disney wants to put all its eggs in one basket but sometimes it becomes too much and eventually the basket is too heavy and it breaks. I really hope with the next season, the sixth season, they will finally return to their original roots and the simplicity of the story arc as seen in the earlier seasons. Although it does look like they could be since they are bringing back the evil Queen in season 6.
