Adult Swim Pirate Purrrty on The Green SDCC 2025 Review

It was our first time at an Adult Swim party on The Green this year at Comic Con, and it did not disappoint! Celebrating our favourite Adult Swim shows whilst hosting a ton of cool activities that made us feel like a kid again, this was definitely one of the most fun and memorable offsites of Comic Con.

The first stop was the Cat Joust. Set up like bucking broncos, competitors each had inflatable weapons and would aim to knock their opponents off. It was more tricky than it looked but we couldn’t stop laughing throughout, a sign of a great activation.

If jousting on cats wasn’t enough to get adrenaline pumping, there was an inflatable slide attendees could try out. And from there, they could jump to their heart’s content at the Rick and Morty Buttworld Bounce House.

Or if guests wanted something more competitive, they could try out the football toss where fans could attempt to throw a ball through holes to win prizes.

Our favorite game, however, was the Common Side Effects Mushroom Hunts where fans had to dive into a foam pit and grab mushrooms to win exclusive swag. Like Cat Joust, harder than it looked, but incredibly fun.

If attendees wanted something a bit more relaxed, there was the Adopt-a-Cuy station where guests could get creative by dressing up and adopting their own cuy plushie.

There were also multiple photo ops including the Smiling Friends Break Room with characters from the series, and the chance to ride one of the dinosaurs from Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal.

And if fans wanted a place to sit down, they could head over to the DirectTV Face Painting Zone that had comfy sofas and shade (a blessing in the San Diego heat).

Fans could also pick up some swag here including bags, water bottles, and temporary tattoos.

Probably the most active and family friendly offsite at Comic Con, it would be difficult not to have an absolutely fantastic time here. With entertaining activities, and a vibrant atmosphere, Adult Swim delivered a brilliant offsite that we’ll definitely be returning to next year.
