Percy Jackson Experience SDCC 2025 Review

One of the most anticipated offsite this year at Comic Con was the Percy Jackson and the Olympians experience which ran from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th. Nerdgeist were given an exclusive preview of it on Thursday morning. Olympian by name and Olympian by nature, the offsite was an epic experience that fully immersed fans into the world of Percy Jackson.

To start, attendees were guided to iPads to do a short but fun quiz to decide which Gods would claim them (we were claimed by Zeus!). After completing this stage, guests were given coins called drachma which would be used later.

Fans were then ushered into a diner that had windows that showed a sunny cityscape. This is where the real magic began. An actor who became our guide interacted with guests explaining what each God represented, and set the scene. The actor was the absolute standout of the experience, really making everyone feel immersed in the world.

The sunny cityscape soon turned into a storm, and the windows showed a sea monster attacking. The lighting and sound were done incredibly well here, and made everything feel very realistic.

Once the storm cleared, guests were offered doughnuts, blue biotic shots, and Percy Jackson purified water.

Then the drachma came in handy. We were invited to exchange our currency for official swag. Our first drachma was traded for a water bottle with our God’s symbol on it. The second drachma got us an exclusive Percy Jackson hat. Some drachma gave people a t-shirts instead of the hat. Whatever you got, the swag was impressive and we got to keep one of our drachma which might be our favourite souvenir.

While there were reports of lines being extremely long for the Percy Jackson experience, we think the brilliant performances by the actors, the immersive nature of the offsite, and all the fantastic merchandise received made it truly worth the wait.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 is set to be released on Disney+ in December 2025.
