Disney has big plans for SDCC 2025

Marvel Studios may not be making an appearance at Comic Con this year, but that doesn’t mean that Disney is skipping SDCC all together. On the contrary, they’re bringing so many panels, giveaways, signings, and activations that it may just be their most exciting year yet.

Outside of the convention center, Disney will have activations for a range of its properties including Hulu, Disney+, and FX shows.

After last year’s highly praised AvaFest, Disney are bringing back an Abbott Elementary for an offsite called A Very Abbott Block Party. With Philly water ice, a ferris wheel and exclusive swag including bucket hats and bags from the “Lost and Found”, fans are sure to be pleased.

If attendees want to continue the thrill from the ferris wheel at Abbott, then the Alien:FX activation on the Hilton Bayfront Lawn promises to keep the adrenaline. Fans will be transported into the wreckage of the USCSS Maginot where they will be treated to never before seen alien specimens and interactive thrills. If they go at night, they will be able to take part in a terrifying mission at The Wreckage: Code Red.

For something a bit more family friendly, attendees should head to the Phineas and Ferb photo op adjacent to the Omni Hotel where fans can step inside a life-sized Phineas and Ferb Whack-a-Pest game for a photo.

Making its SDCC offsite debut, Percy Jackson and Olympians is daring attendees to embark on a thrilling journey into the Sea of Monsters. Fans will look through the Mist, find out which god has claimed them, and use exclusive drachma to trade for God tier merchandise.

After all that, attendees will probably have worked up an appetite so they can head over to the Hank Hill’s backyard for a cookout. The King of the Hill experience will have BBQ bites served up and cold cans of Alamo (water) to wash it down with. After that, fans will be able to take part in themed photo ops, play classic lawn games, and pick up customised merchandise.

Inside the convention center is just as exciting as outside. Disney will have their own booth where fans will be able to embrace nostalgia by entering the Disney+ Rewind Room, a throwback photo experience celebrating shows and films from the 90s and 00s. Disney will also be holding panels for 13 series. The shows fans can look forward to seeing are:
