A Legendary Piece of Anime History is Coming to the Public Eye

If you haven’t heard of OTAKU NO VIDEO, no one would blame you. But this hidden anime gem is something that needs to be seen to be believed.

Let me take you all the way back to 1982, and a group of nerds are meeting. But this isn’t any normal group of anime fans. This group contains the likes of Takeshi Mori (Gunsmith Cats), Kenichi Sonoda’s (Bubblegum Crisis), the great Kohei Tanaka’s (Gunbuster) and the nearly mythological Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion).

Their creation, an anime OVA that spoofs the life and culture of your typical otaku as well as the history of Studio GAINAX and its creators.

This is not only a piece of anime history but also a piece of late 20th-century pop culture. If you are an anime fan, you will need to see this.

The Blu-ray home media release on October 8th of Otaku No Video.
