Den of Geek and Goliath kicked off SDCC with the first party of Comic Con, celebrating the launch of the Power Saber.
Den of Geek are notorious for throwing a great party, last year’s Project K party was a big hit with attendees. And this year was no different. Taking place in the beautiful Horton Grand Hotel courtyard, guests were able to feel the force all night.

Attendees were treated to delicious appetisers including caprese skewers, mini lamb chops, chicken satay skewers, and salmon cream cheese cucumber bites. Food can often be in short supply at Comic Con parties but Den of Geek made sure the canapés kept coming.

For drinks, guests were given a variety of options including sodas, wines and beers. There were also two tasty Star Wars themed cocktails that ensured both Jedi and Sith were catered for, one called Light Side and one called Dark Side.

However, the most exciting thing for attendees had to be the swag. Guests got to take home their very own Power Saber. The Power Saber is the first ever Saber that fully auto-extends and retracts. And for those that couldn’t wait to try it out, there was a station with batteries so people could use their new Saber. There was even the option to bedazzle and personalise the Sabers with sparkles and stickers which was a nice added bonus.

After this, guests were encouraged to take photos with their Saber in a Star Wars photo op.

Just like last year, Den of Geek’s party was a massive success. The Power Saber Launch party was a fantastic start to Comic Con with guests having a brilliant time.
