By now, you all know that I love me some indie comics. They tend to have a fresh and fun perspective, a perspective that takes you away from the capes and heroes that Marvel and DC bombard us with. And Rebel Grrrls serves up something truly fresh.

Maybe my adoration for this book is a tad biased because, as a teen, I tried my hand at punk, and I live in a very repressed corner of the world. But something in these stories really sang to me.

Rebel Grrrls really captures that insufferable punk spirit, one that I do love. But not only that, it then dumps in a load of dark magic and ghosts. Of course, I was going to want more of this book.

Rebel Grrrls knows it’s weird, and it does not care. As a story, it embraces the bizarre, takes shots at what it does not like, all the while putting three badass, women in front of it all. And to top it all off, it even features a sexy red skinned demon for me to lust over, I think this series may have ticked all my boxes, and I want more.
