I know I’m the optimistic guy and I try and find the positive in everything, but when it comes to these Sony/ Spider-Man adjacent films I can’t help but feel a certain sense of dread.

In the books Kraven is an elite hunter with a sense of honour who chooses Spider-Man as his next target. Here it appears that he is the hero going after the Russian mob and apparently Rhino…

Kraven can work as a protagonist, but you need to introduce him as a villain first. On top of the plot we have a change in origin and powers, in the books he pretty much drinks a tonic, coughs steroids coughs, to make him stronger and faster. Here it’s lion’s blood that lets him talk to animals...

I wouldn’t hate on it so much if they once again had not had such good casting. But as always Sony dropped the ball.

How many more times will they do this before Marvel takes back control...
